CURRICULUM

ABOUT ME

Date of Birth: March 18th, 1978   |   Place of Birth: Córdoba, Argentina

Since I was little, I was related to music in my family and attending the Musicians Children's Kindergarten in Cordoba.

In my childhood and adolescence, music continues to be an important part of my life, singing and learning to play various instruments, composing songs, and making simple vocal and instrumental arrangements for family events and religious occasions at Santo Tomás School.

At the end of secondary school, I started my formal music studies at the Provincial Conservatory of Córdoba, Félix T. Garzón, graduating as a Guitar Teacher and complementing with piano and clarinet studies. I also studied Musical Composition at the National University of Córdoba, obtaining the Cordoba Student Award in 2001 for the best grade point average.

As a musician, I still compose and write vocal and orchestral arrangements. I even perform concerts as a solo guitarist, as an accompanying instrumentalist or as a singer in vocal ensembles to this day: but since the year 2000 musical direction has burst into my life and has become my main task as a musician.

I had the privilege of studying and perfecting myself with great professionals from my country and from around the world: Antonio María Russo, Alberto Balzanelli, Néstor Andrenacci, Hugo de la Vega, Carlos Giraudo, Carlos López Puccio, Sergio Feferovich, Hadrian Avila Arzuza, Alberto Grau, María Guinand, Werner Pfaff, Josep Prats, Alina Orraca, María Felicia Pérez and Simon Halsey were some of the people who inspired me and helped me grow in this complex and wonderful art of conducting.

I was lucky enough to obtain prizes and distinctions in my work, among which the Revelation Director award granted by the National Endowment for the Arts (2007), a Scholarship from the National Endowment for the Arts for the study of Symphonic Choral repertoire with mtro. Antonio Russo (2010-2011), the award for one of the 10 Outstanding Young People of Córdoba (2012), the prize of the Sing Motets contest organized by Sir Karl Jenkins and the Boosey and Hawkes (2015) and 15 prizes in national and international competitions with Cantoría de la Merced (2007 to 2017).

I have conducted numerous symphonic-choral projects, including several national premieres of works by renowned composers such as John Rutter, Karl Jenkins, Steve Dobrogosz, Beatriz Corona, Dante Andreo, Ola Gjeilo, amongst others.

I have been invited to conduct professional choirs from my country and wonderful choirs abroad.

And in addition to my activity as a choral director, I have worked several times as guest conductor with the Cordoba Symphony Orchestra, Cordoba Symphony Band, Camerata Córdoba Nueva, La Barroca del Suquía, the Rosario’s Chamber Orchestra and the Harvest Orchestral Ensemble (Mendoza).

I am also passionate about teaching: I am a professor at the National University of Córdoba and I teach numerous courses, seminars and workshops nationally and internationally.

In April 2023 I will be a presenter at the largest choral event in the world, the World Symposium of Choral Music to be held in Istanbul in April, to represent Argentina and Latin America in a workshop on Tango for Choirs.

I am a founder member of ADICORA: Argentinian National Association of Argentinian Choral Conductors (in Spanish).
